PLIKA's First Exclusive Webinar
On September 12th, we hosted our very first exclusive webinar, gathering over 27 members, known as PLIKERS, for an engaging discussion on digitalization in the port industry. Featuring two highly respected experts in the field, the webinar covered cutting-edge solutions in sustainability and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for port operations. Prof. Alaa Morsy and Mr. Carles Rua shared their insights on how technology is reshaping the sector. This webinar marks the beginning of an exciting series of knowledge-sharing events for the PLIKA community.
First PLIKA Annual Event
On 6 June 2024, from 17:30 to 19:00, we hosted our first annual event at the SIL Conference in Barcelona. This milestone marked significant progress in the logistics and international trade sector. Held in a hybrid format, the event provided a platform to introduce PLIKA's core values, newly formed committees, and highlight the commitment of the Board directors and training centre to fostering knowledge exchange and experiences.
Port Virtual Lab, Training of Trainers
On 4 July 2024, we gathered in Tunis with 30 participants for an intensive Port Virtual Lab (PVL) Training of Trainers course. This event marked a significant step forward in our mission to advance port and logistics training. During the training, we had the opportunity to delve deeper into our community's core values and explore how platforms like Port Virtual Lab can support and enhance these values.
